Alba Conservation Trust (ACT) is a charitable building preservation trust based in Scotland but with a remit to operate throughout the UK. It is the umbrella organisation of the Alba Conservation Group, providing services for the Cockburn Conservation Trust (CCT) and the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT)and helping community groups, other trusts and individuals to identify, fund and deliver lively, viable and sustainable new uses for cherished historic buildings whose survival is threatened by disuse, dereliction or demolition.

There are currently 20 active projects within the Group, with costs ranging from under £200,000 to over £4,000,000. Click here to find out more about our projects. The Group holds property completed by SHBT and CCT whose current value is £1,125,000.

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WITH EFFECT FROM 1 JULY 2010 - ALBA CONSERVATION TRUST WILL BE RENAMED SCOTTISH HISTORIC BUILDINGS TRUST.

A New Website will be coming soon - watch this space.

Una Richards (Director) is delighted to announce that ACT has been awarded £63,975 from the Third Sector Enterprise Fund to support its merger with the other two charitable building preservation trusts - a move that will build capacity, reduce risk and boost financial sustainability for all three.
