22-26 West High Street Lauder, Scottish Borders
This was the first project for the newly formed SHBT. It formed a terrace of three empty houses and shops along the main street in Lauder. The 'C (s)' listed terrace had been derelict for many years but was acquired by SHBT.
In 1986 the Trust let the first phase of the contract to replace the roof and stabilise the structure. A second phase contract was let in 1987 and the buildings were restored /completed in 1989 and sold on as houses and business premises.
